Nejde jen o kostým. V mistrovském cosplayi se člověk musí postavou stát

Brno - Cosplay je původně japonskou tradicí. Tvoří ho slova costume a play, česky kostým a hra. Na Animefestu, který se konal o víkendu 5. až 7. května mohli návštěvníci kromě japonské kultury vidět i tuto formu umění. Animefest je jedním z největších setkání lidí, zabývajících se cosplayem, tedy cosplayerů. Od roku 2010 vítěz cosplay soutěže na Animefestu reprezentuje Česko v celoevropských soutěžích.
Letošní výherkyně Amathys bude soutěžit v kategorii jednotlivců na Japan Expo v Paříži od 13. června. Vyhrála s cosplayem švédské inženýrky ze hry Overwatch Brigitte Lindholm. Podle jejích slov jde o nejdražší cosplay, na kterém pracovala a který ji naučil mnoho nového do jejího řemesla.

Cosplay totiž není o nakoupení kostýmu, ale přesně naopak. Podle oficiálních pravidel Animefestu by cosplay měl obsahovat co nejméně kupovaných částí. Hodnotí se autenticita a kvalita provedení, originálnost technik a preciznost zpracování. Cosplayeři tak netráví čas v obchodech, kde hledají součásti svého kostýmu, ale spíše doma se syrovými materiály, šicím strojem a tavnou pistolí v ruce. Často je nutné použít kreativní techniky, aby cosplay dosáhl požadované autentičnosti, například metoda weathering (poničení) má dodat cosplayi iluzi, že byl skutečně používaný. Cosplayeři tak své výtvory máčí v kávě nebo dávají na pár dní do řeky.

Čas, který je nutné věnovat do cosplaye popsala Stisku Cosplay Hadr: „Na cosplayi Junker Queen z Overwatche, který mám teď na sobě jsem strávila asi sedm set hodin, obecně ty soutěžní trvají déle. Ale vyrábění mě na cosplayi baví nejvíc. V podstatě jsem začala s tím, že mám chuť si něco vyrobit. Až pak jsem zjistila, že se díky tomu cítím drsně na akcích.“ Hadr měla na Animefestu svůj stánek, kde ukazovala své cosplaye, například zmiňovanou Junker Queen nebo Samanthu Carter z Hvězdné brány.

Vrcholem cosplaye je ale krok navíc, kdy se cosplayer své postavě nejen podobá, ale i se stejně chová. Soutěže tak obsahují scénky, kde cosplayeři vystupují jako své postavy a po celou dobu musí zachovávat styl mluvy nebo manýry svých postav. Tato kategorie je na Animefestu hodnocena největším počtem bodů a skutečně odlišuje cosplay od klasického kostýmu.

Vedle profesionálů ale existují i menší cosplayeři, pro které jde skutečně o volnočasový koníček. „V podstatě si vybírám to, co je pro mě nejjednodušší na výrobu. Neplánuji soutěžit, ale je to pro mě způsob, jak se kreativně vybít,“ řekla o svém cosplayi Nikky, která Animefest navštívila v cosplayi elfské válečnice.
